Job Description CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our team in the National Capital Region (NCR), supporting a DHS customer’s enterprise environment. CACI is providing a variety of IT services to this customer including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services. What You’ll Get to Do: The Internet of Things (IoT) Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The candidate will be directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a DHS Client Network and will execute the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcomings and to improve system performance and efficiency. The candidate will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 3 infrastructure, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support that builds, configures, and administers several hundred servers in their area of operation. More About the Role: The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. Provide infrastructure engineering designs, builds, and escalated support to services and products. Perform engineering functions found in the service design domain and provide escalated support to incident management. Support engineering efforts to design, build, test, integrate, transition, implement, document, and train when transitioned to IT Operations Management. Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization. Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following tools, technologies and platforms: SCCM, Mobile Device Management, and virtual/cloud environments. You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Five (5) or more years of subject matter expertise with monitoring performance and throughput, setting baselines for acceptance performance standards while teams develop new solutions. MCSE Certification. Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM). Experience with set-up and connectivity to virtual/cloud-based environments. Experience with major cloud providers preferred (i.e., AWS, Azure). Ability and readiness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required. Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills. Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills. Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts. US Citizenship required. An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.
