Cyber Security Engineer, Mid The Challenge : Everyone knows security needs to be "baked in" to system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. We're looking for an engineer who can help create solutions for the customer that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats. As a security engineer on our project, you'll support the design and all Cyber activities that will lead to ATO Cloud deployment activities for mission-critical systems for the client. You'll work with in house teams, to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer's needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and practical solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you'll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. As a team, we'll take a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives, and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and business needs. Your contributions will help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices such as endpoint-based detection, response EDR, multi-factor authentication, identity and access management, advanced analytics, etc. You'll be able to gain experience in cloud-based security while building peace of mind in critical infrastructure. You Have: 5+ years of experience with securing computer systems, performing accreditation activities, and writing security plans for the Federal Government 5+ years of experience in working with processes, regulations applicable to IT system assessment, and authorization for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) 3+ years of experience in conducting security evaluations for systems and applications and publishing RMF Body of Evidence artifacts 3+ years of experience in a technical consulting, or engineering role 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting with distributed applications 1+ years of experience with implementing security solutions in multi-tenant cloud environments Experience with assessing the delivering, and management of Cloud IaaS environments using IaaS platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Knowledge of FedRAMP, ATO, and the implications of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and Security Assessment and Authorization(SA&A) Experience with client management, including executing projects on time Ability to obtain a security clearance BA or BS degree in IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics Nice If You Have: Experience with multiple operating systems, including UNIX, Linux, and Windows 2012 Experience with multi-threaded, Big Data, and distributive Cloud architectures and frameworks Experience with AWS EC2, Network, ELB, and S3 Knowledge of terminology and federal regulations applicable to specification, development, acquisition, and maintenance of IT systems Amazon Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, preferred Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
